Dear Fritz,
I was a competing General Sales Manager in the Saginaw market against Dick Garber and Garber Buick from January 1981 until March 1995. I joined the Garber organization to assist with the opening of Sunrise Chevrolet in Glendale Heights, Illinois as the General Manager.
The Garber organization is the model organization to compete against, work for and learn the importance of associate development, financial responsibility and customer focus. I left the Garber organization in December 1998 to move back to the Michigan market with no differences of understanding.
The knowledge I gained under the direction of Dick Garber and his Senior Leadership team to run an automobile dealership operation with the customers/ associates as the center of focus drives me today as a Director, North American Operations and Implementation for one of the countries largest DMS vendors.
Dick Garber's Buick dealership delivers what most dealership groups aspire to model, delivers to the highest of expectations for customer sales/ services while managing to a respectable profit margin in all departments.
Garber Buick is the elite of the elite in development for aspiring GM Executive Managers.
Loosing Dick Garber's Buick flagship is not an option.
Respectfully submitted,
Mike Stoll

What a wonderful community we live in!! THANK YOU SAGINAW for rallying around such a worthy cause with so much support. Thank you Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce and Saginaw Future for spearheading the write in campaign. Thank you Congressman Dale Kildee for getting involved. Thank you media for your positive support. Thank you, Garber's for being the type of business and community citizen that so many were willing to support. And thank you GM for being willing to listen to Saginaw, take another look at and recind your original decision. We can all be humbly grateful and proud to be part of the great community that is the Great Lakes Bay Region.

Dear Mr.Mark Laneve

I am writing this letter in support of Garber Buick of Saginaw,I have been an employee with the Garber family for almost 7 years. I have always been proud to work for such a company that cares for their employees. I just can't believe the news and the decision to close the Buick dealership. I imagined that a company like this would value how they came to be such a success. I wouldn't think it be possible to close a historical Landmark. How can this decision go through without any morals, or how it would effect the community and to all people who believe that this is the foundation of success. I may not know alot about business but I know that to close such a place that brings and knows ( Values, Work Ethic, Respect, Honesty, Integrity, Pride, Empathy ) is a mistake and a big loss not just our future and present customers, fellow employees and the community, BUT! A big loss for your orginization for the FUTURE. How can one destroy the possibilities to grow and succeed, I guess common sense comes in to play when you really look at things. Please Make the right decision and keep what makes GM >>>> "To be the BEST automotive sales and repair operation in every market we serve."

Thanks for the oppurtunity to share my thoughts.

To be in business this long must mean they are doing something right. How does GM expect to sell their products if they are closing dealerships. Does these dealers cost GM any money to be operating and selling their products ? The cuts need to be made at the top and also do away with paying board members. I would consider it an honor just to be a board member without receiving any pay.
